Meet Marc

I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Apple Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees in Area 5.

Our family has been blessed to be part of this community and this school district. All of our children have attended schools within the district, and we are grateful for the teachers, staff, coaches, and friends who have made such a positive impact on their lives.

Throughout my career in education I have dedicated my work to serving students and supporting the people who make our schools successful. While my professional experience has been in other districts, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, principal, and now as an assistant superintendent overseeing business services and human resources. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing public education and what it takes to support students, families, employees, and schools.

I believe that when we are fortunate enough to be blessed with opportunities, we have a responsibility to give back. Running for the School Board is my opportunity to serve the community and district that have given so much to my family.

I am committed to ensuring every student has access to excellent educational opportunities, that our dedicated employees have the support they need, and that our district remains focused on academic success, accountability, and responsible stewardship of the community’s trust and resources.
